One of the joys of my retirement is producing Let the Music and I couldn’t do it without WERA and its parent organization Arlington Independent Media (AIM).
Together, these nonprofits allow me to help folks in recovery from addiction by blending optimistic music and inspirational messages. They also provide me with essential stuff I couldn’t get on my own like broadcasting equipment, music licenses, an enthusiastic listenership, professional staff, volunteer support, and much more.
I HATE to ask for donations but without personal contributions from real people like you, WERA and AIM will cease to exist and that will suck.
Why are WERA and AIM worth a few bucks a month (or once) from you?
WERA serves Arlington with more than 50 original, local programs every week on 96.7 FM and www.WERA.FM. We also produce and broadcast local live events.
On the video side, AIM members create and broadcast local, service-oriented, programming on cable TV too.
AIM is Arlington’s #1 resource for other emerging voices to receive professional media production training.
AIM and WERA only receive a tiny fraction of their budgets from Arlington County, and during the pandemic, their traditional income opportunities – summer camp, courses, events – were locked down so I (We) need your help.
If you donate to public radio or TV (like WAMU or WETA) you know the importance of local, non-commercial programming. And if you fundraise for your causes, you know how difficult it is to reach your goals. Please consider a monthly donation to AIM and feel good about helping.
Thanks everyone. I am supremely grateful for your contributions.
Wishing you a happy, joyous and free day.
Cool Papa Jeff
